Beating the Odds

Two Reasons Why You Can Succeed

Marva Collins said, “Success doesn’t come to you. You go to it.”

If you decide to make the trip, you have two huge factors in your favor.

First, you have potential you don’t even know about and haven’t tapped into yet. Like Jeremy Lin, who was cut by two NBA teams before becoming a star with the New York Knicks, you have skills and talents that no one has yet discovered.

Second, you don’t have much competition. Most people aren’t going all out, not trying hard, or even trying. As the saying goes, there is no traffic jam on the extra mile.

So if you want to make the trip to success, give it your all and chances are you will make it. People may praise you by saying that you beat the odds, but the secret is that the odds were in your favor!
